Individual chapters are easily uploaded to platforms such as ACX (owned by Audible/Amazon).Cost: The average payment for someone to record an audiobook is typically between $150 and $300 per finished hour (PFH), depending on the narrator’s experience and skill level. Newer, inexperienced narrators may charge as low as $50 per finished hour, while highly experienced narrators can command rates of $600 or more.
